BENECOR INTRODUCES FIRST UREA DISPENSERS
FOR THE NORTH AMERICAN DIESEL MARKET
Tampa, FL, February 5, 2007 – Benecor L.L.C. unveiled the first UREA dispenser for commercial and fleet applications today at the Technology & Maintenance Council annual meeting and exhibition (TMC).
UREA is a central compound in diesel engine technology designed to meet the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) 2009 and 2010 NOx reduction mandates for the heavy duty and light duty segments.
Benecor’s UREA dispenser is a key element in the company’s approach to help the diesel market meet the EPA’s mandates with solutions for supply, storage and dispensing of UREA.
Benecor’s dispenser unveiled today showcases a design concept for above-ground UREA storage and for dispensing larger quantities of UREA.
The above-ground UREA dispenser features an insulated and heated design to ensure UREA quality (UREA freezes at approximately 11 F). In addition, the dispensers include over-fill protection, level sensors, leak sensors and telemetry features to track the on-board supply of UREA.
Benecor offers two UREA dispenser models: One equipped with a commercial Point of Sale system for retail applications and a fleet model geared for tracking use at the fleet home base location.
The company has installation plans for various locations, including truck stops, fleet home bases, diesel fueling stations, OEM dealerships and distributors.
The minimal installation cost of Benecor’s dispensing system overcomes a major infrastructure/implementation challenge.
