Recently, the Benecor team visited a customer site to walk through the fueling operation, review the existing infrastructure, and discuss the requirements for a biofuel storage and dispensing solution.


A site walk is an opportunity for everyone involved in the project to get on the same page. These visits can include the customer, Benecor, and contractors bidding on the installation. Benecor works directly with bidding contractors to answer technical questions, clarify equipment requirements, and help ensure that the proposed system can be properly installed and integrated into the site.

Things such as available space, vehicle access, fueling patterns, piping routes, electrical requirements, equipment placement, clearance requirements, and future expansion can all influence the final system design.


By evaluating these factors firsthand and working directly with the contractors involved, Benecor can help identify potential challenges early—before equipment is manufactured or installed.

Biofuel Infrastructure Requires Thoughtful Planning

Biofuels such as biodiesel can provide fleets and businesses with an opportunity to reduce the carbon intensity of their operations while utilizing existing diesel fueling infrastructure. However, the storage and dispensing system still need to be designed around the specific application.


Tank capacity, dispensing requirements, environmental conditions, fuel turnover, heating requirements, piping, pumps, filtration, controls, and fuel management can all play a role in developing the right solution.
